Principal's Welcome
Abience Academy opened its doors in 2015. We are a dual medium school (English and Afrikaans) with a focus on Mathematics and the Sciences.
Our mission is to provide a rigorous and technologically enhanced curriculum that will inspire creative, critical and analytical thinking, and to prepare learners to be productive and successful citizens who have higher-level critical thinking skills needed to solve problems in the real world.
We are passionate about teaching and making a difference in the learners’ lives. We wish to develop young people to have the confidence and skills needed to compete and make a difference in the ever-changing landscape of South Africa. We believe this is done by exposing each learner to sport, culture and leadership opportunities, as well as giving them an excellent academic education.

Mathematics and Science
Being Mathematics and Science focus creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators. We do not ask our learners what they will become or do after completing their studies, but rather what problems they are going to solve.
Learners actively participate in at least one club or society, as well as one sport, each term.
Promote diversity and inclusivity to ensure that all students have equal opportunities to excel in STEM fields.
All learners are required to select a science subject during their Further Education and Training (FET) phase as part of their National Senior Certificate (NSC) curriculum.
As a STEM school, PHA often employs innovative teaching techniques, such as flipped classrooms, collaborative learning, and integration of technology to enhance learning experiences.
